posting at psychiatry hospital at johor bahru....

last two week, start from 06 oct 2008 till 17 oct 2008, i had been posted to hospital tampoi johor bahru. what is it so different that i need to mention here...it is because it is a mental health hospital means it is same like bukit padang o....OMG, i never imagine tat i can go into the psychiatry hospital before i join nursing...i still can remember during my school time or even sometime joking with frend we will always said "dont crazy ya, if not later call an ambulance and send u to bukit padang", and just look at the door of the hospital when pass by there..

i cant believe, this time i had a chance to step inside just tat it is a johor nt in my hometown. On the first day, as usual we had the orientation program with the nurse instructor from that hospital. after that we go for a hospital round. it is a very big hospital where have nearly 16 or 17 blocks of female ward and 24 or 25 male ward.

during the two week attachment to the ward and having time with the patients, i felt very sorry to them. each of everyone have a story, they are not the one who choose to become sick and having problem, they are also not the one who actually really want to become crazy in the middle of the street or house. is just that sometime because of their illness, because of their lifestyle such as cant cope with the stressful life or even some is after traumatic incident which make them cant cope or accept the fact and make them end up with that situation.

anyway, during posting i learn many things. actually some of them are recovered and can control their illness if they really compliance to the medication when at home but because of they had poor family and social support which means although they can be allowed to discharge but family member dont want to take them back, so they have to continue to stay at the hospital.

society also can not ignore them and treat them not like normal. it is actually hurt and make them embarrass and cause them to isolate themselves. we actually need to give them support. hopefully with that they can feel that they are still meaningful to live at this world. by this we ca actually reduce a sad news about suicide or violent or even murder in the newspaper...

we should appreciate what we are now... we have our family who is support and take care of us no matter what will happen....we have good friends who can laugh and share also caring.
we should also appreciate and dont try to think negatively.when feel unhappy or stress,
PLZ FIND A WAY TO EXPRESS IT...
WHEN FACING PROBLEM DONT KEEP IT ON UR OWN, SHARE WITH PPL....
DONT PUT URSELF INTO STRESS
LEARN HOW TO ACCEPT THE FACT...dont be stubborn
relax and always smile...
LOVE UR FAMILY, SPEND TIME WITH THEM
